Mendip District Councillor

District Councillor since 2013

I have served as Mendip District Councillor since 2013, representing the villages of Rode, Norton St Philip, Lullington, Laverton, Woolverton, Tellisford, Farleigh Hungerford and Hassage.

My responsibilities have included being Deputy Chair of the Licensing Board, a member of the Audit Committee and a member of the Scrutiny Committee. From 1st August 2017 I will take up the role as Assistant Portfolio Holder to Cabinet Member Cllr. Nigel Woollcombe-Adams who is the portfolio holder for Planning, Growth and Housing Services.

I have established a good relationship with the officers of the Council across all areas.

I have worked on numerous planning applications across the Ward and have presented to the Planning Board on many occasions. I have also represented residents on local affordable housing issues.
